‘Surfing gives me such a rush’

People don’t tend to think of Ireland as being a popular surfing country but it really is, particularly the west coast. It was there that I discovered a love of surfing as a young woman, and then rediscovered it again many years later.

I’ve always loved the sea and yearned to give surfing a go. During my early 20s, I was away for the weekend with friends who surfed and they suggested I try it.
