Forever a star

Looking up at the stage, I couldn’t take my eyes off the performer.

Dripping in sequins, slick make-up, hair coiffed into a towering beehive…

That’s my boy! I thought, feeling proud.

I could never get enough of seeing my only son Edward, then 20, performing as his drag alter-ego Eddie OK Adams.

It was 2008 and he’d been performing drag since he was 17. Not only did he look the part, he was an amazing singer, too.

Now he performed at glitzy venues all over the country.

‘You were brilliant!’
