Some years ago, I was full of grand plans to build a 1950s Triton café racer. I’d even got so far as finding a halfway-suitable Norton frame and forks, I remember grabbling them out of the small ads, choosing these for no other reason than them being very cheap, as they had been hacked about. I felt they were eminently rescuable, but I never found out, as this project didn’t get much further than the planning and frame stage.
