Estrildid inspiration

ECENTLY, I had the pleasure of meeting and hosting a Dutch waxbill and zebra finch enthusiast, G.J. (Jelmer) Huisman. Jelmer has recently published an excellent book, , a comprehensive photographic and descriptive guide of all 34 genera of the Estrildidae, including waxbills, munias and grassfinches. His book includes some excellent photos of many species not commonly seen in aviculture and also an outstanding photographic reference section
