New village venue for Cambridgeshire BS

CAMBRIDGESHIRE BS

THE society had two firsts when it staged its open show on the August bank holiday weekend, writes Ghalib Al-Nasser. It was their first time at a new venue in Cotten-ham Village and the show received the Budgerigar Society (BS) gold championship patronage.

Both firsts proved to be a success for the society and thanks to Bev Hutt and her strong show team, the show, without a doubt, was a resounding success.

The show received a good entry of 394 from 30 exhibitors of which 337 were benched for Robbie Keeber, Keith Leedham and Brian Taylor to judge. It was the turn of the partnerships to win the major awards and the judges selected Ghalib & Janice Al-Nasser’s albino hen as the best young bird (YB) and best in show (BIS). The judges also selected their grey cock as the best any age (AA) in show. The best any age opposite sex award went to
