Sitting across the table from my date, he was looking at me with puppy-dog eyes.

I knew I had to tell him the truth.

‘There’s something you should know,’ I said, as he took a sip from his glass. ‘I’m actually 60.’

He spat his drink across the table, spluttering.

‘No way,’ he said in disbelief.

‘Really, I am,’ I laughed.
