LOU KIMBER A COMPETITOR’S CHOICE

Lou Kimber’s first real love was every girl’s dream. His name was Yella, and he was a beautiful palomino Quarter horse gelding with the registered name of Le Bar Bingo, by the well-known Leo bred sire, Beggar Bingo, and out of Gay Minnie. Beggar Bingo, Q-315 (Imp/dec.) was imported by Winderadeen and produced winners in every field of Western performance, as well as producing hacks, eventers and dressage horses. He was also an extremely popular sire with the Rodeo fraternity, his progeny excelling as timed event and rope horses.

Lou loved to spend time brushing Yella and because she was too small to saddle him back then, you’d often find her riding him around bareback. Anyone who was on the rodeo scene back in the 80’s and 90’s would surely remember that big yellow horse and that little girl, proudly riding him
