MULTI DIMENSIONAL SPIDER-MAN
Along with getting Oscar and Visual Effects Society Awards nominations, the visual effects team of Marvel Studios VFX supervisor Kelly Port, Sony Pictures Imageworks VFX supervisor Chris Waegner, Digital Domain VFX supervisor Scott Edelstein and SFX supervisor Daniel Sudick have collaborated with filmmaker Jon Watts to create a box office juggernaut that has earned $1.8 billion worldwide, placing Spider-Man: No Way Home as sixth highest grossing movie of all time. Considering the multiverse mayhem caused by Spider-Man interfering with a spell being cast by Doctor Strange on his behalf, it is interesting to note that Academy Award-winning animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse did not loom over the production.
2,500 visual effects shots were created by Sony Pictures Imageworks, Digital Domain, Framestore, Luma Pictures, Crafty Apes, Mr. X, Cinesite, Gradient Effects, Folks VFX, SSVFX, MARZ and Perception. An
