Bumper entries for 2022 awards

A RECORD-BREAKING number of entries – with more than 75 submissions – were received for the 2022 HRA Awards.

The Coiley Locomotive Engineering Award, sponsored by Morris Lubricants, was presented to the Strathspey Railway for their restoration of LMS ‘Black Five’ No. 5025, as highlighted in Heritage Railway (issue 283).

The sheer scale of the work involved to return the 1934-built locomotive to original condition won the judges’ votes.
