Think before you SPEAK

Sitting in the park, I watched as my son played on the swings. He looked so happy, and a stranger thought so, too.

Taking a seat next to me, she looked right at him.

‘He’s really cute,’ she smiled.

‘Yeah, he is,’ I beamed.

In that moment, Jacob came running up to me and jumped on my lap.

‘Mummy, can I have a biscuit?’ he asked.

Turning to woman with a friendly laugh, I watched as her face changed. Her whole body turned and faced me in shock.

I’ll live with this forever
