Finished size:

154 x 128cm (60 1/2 x 50 1/2in)

Note: Read all the instructions before starting the project. A seam allowance of 1/4in is used throughout. It is recommended that fabrics be 100% cotton, pre-washed and well ironed. Requirements are based on fabrics 107cm (42in) wide. The yardage listed for the directional fabrics is generous to allow for some fussy cutting. Julie used partial seams and set-in corners to make her quilt. We have changed some of her cutting and assembly instructions to eliminate the need to use these techniques without changing the look of the finished quilt.

PREPARATION AND CUTTING

Note: In the cutting instructions below (Steps 1–14), the first measurement is running down the length of the fabric and the second is running across the width of the fabric. Label each strip and patch as soon as you've cut it to avoid confusion when you come to assemble the quilt.

1 From the DV3981 Homestead print fabric, cut: • One square, 18 1/2in (A).

2 From the DV3980 Allover Farm print fabric, cut: • Two rectangles, 12 x 12
