Our motorhome
Our motorhome dream began in 1985, whilst on holiday in Devon. We were staying in a static caravan and gazed longingly at the motorhomes and touring caravans.
Later, as we headed for home I said, “When we retire, we should buy a motorhome and travel to lovely places like this all the time.”
It was a pipe dream, but one we hung onto. Then, in 2014, we were in a position to seriously start looking. But, after several months’ searching, we still hadn’t found ‘the one’.
Just before Christmas, we were in Lincoln and we spotted a motorhome dealer (Camper UK), which had the perfect motorhome, a one-year-old Carado with low mileage and immaculate condition. We kept the Carado for three years.
Then, in 2018, at the Peterborough show, we looked at some campervans and were impressed with how well everything worked in
