TESTED 2017 ELDDIS/MARQUIS ACCORDO 125
One size doesn’t fit all when it comes to the complex minefield of purchasing a motorhome. No matter how much we pay for our pride and joy, there’s a good chance we’ve stretched ourselves in relation to our income/savings.
We started motorhoming in August 2018 after 30 years of exploring the whole gamut of outdoor accommodation, from a little tent to a caravan. Since discovering motorhoming and also having retired two years ago, we have now spent in the region of 250 nights away in our ’van and hope to do many more.
Our first motorhome only lasted us four months after we concluded that its layout and size of vehicle just wasn’t for us.
SECOND TIME LUCKY
Following painstaking research and visits to many dealers, we decided on the make and model of our new third child (soon to become first child, sorry kids!) - the Elddis Accordo 125.
We managed to source a private sale in December 2018 and ended up increasing our budget to purchase a newer 125 model in the Marquis Majestic guise. We were lucky enough to find a 2017 model, 18 months old with less than 5k on the clock and very well looked after.
