2009 SWIFT ESCAPE 624
Our introduction to motorhoming took place in 2013, in New Zealand. A basic two-berth high-top campervan served us well for four weeks; by the end of which, we knew we wanted one ourselves, or more likely a step up in size to a motorhome. We also knew exactly what features we liked (such as a kitchen that was well away from the lounge area), and disliked (having to make up the bed every night!)
On our return, the decision was made that in 2017, after we retired, paved the drive alongside the house and installed a pair of high-ish solid gates for security, that we would invest in one. It wasn’t, of course, intended as an investment, but I note that the price of the only three I can find currently for sale is higher than we paid six years ago.
ALL ABOUT THE LAYOUT
When deciding which motorhome to buy, we followed protocol and added to an already growing list of priorities. This led us in the direction of a vehicle with an overcab bed, rear kitchen, and a washroom with room to comfortably stand and take a shower, or sit down for business!
The Swift Escape 624 fitted the job perfectly. Coincidentally, we came across an 2009 model at our nearest stockist. My budget had originally been £25k, but this one was too good
