Global grain, oilseed prices continue their upward trend

Maize prices on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) have continued to follow a steady upward trend as a result of dry weather conditions in South America. These circumstances have led to a reduction in Brazil’s maize production forecast, which is down one million tons to 114 million tons, as shown by the latest World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) report from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).
