measuring jug; three 23cm (9in)
cake tins; cooling racks; spatula
For the cake
290g (10oz) beetroots, peeled, cubed
4g instant espresso coffee
18g (¾oz) beetroot powder
20g (¾oz) cocoa powder
230ml (8fl oz) water
120g (4¼oz) sour cream or whole fat yogurt
