Apple pork pies
MAKES 6
400g (14oz) plain flour
1 tsp salt
80g (2¾oz) lard, diced
300g (10½oz) pork mince
1 JAZZ™ Apple, chopped
1 tsp dried thyme salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 free-range egg, beaten
1 Preheat the oven to 180°C/Gas Mark 4.
2 In a mixing bowl, add the flour, salt and lard and mix until combined. Add the water and knead until you form a dough. Set aside until needed.
3 In a separate bowl, add the pork mince, apple, salt, pepper and thyme, then mix until well combined.
