Brett Wigdortz: Why my latest mission is to revolutionise early years education

Brett Wigdortz is the CEO of tiney, a new early years education initiative on a mission to train up a new generation of childminders and improve standards across UK childcare. He was also the founder of graduate teaching charity Teach First, helping recruit 10,000 people into teaching careers and growing the organisation into the biggest graduate employer in the UK.

Tiney helps people train to become highly-skilled childminders and open nurseries in their own homes; providing excellent early years education for children whilst offering better childcare options for local families. The initiative has already seen hundreds of new nurseries open across the UK, with hundreds more people currently in training.

Here, Brett explains his motivation behind leaving Teach First to focus on early years. And tiney childminder, Camelia, explains how her experience of opening a nursery has impacted her role as a parent.
