Stress-free EASTER FEAST
Crispy crab canapés
This is a great party nibble for preparing ahead of time. Store the sesame crackers in an airtight container and keep the creamy crab topping in the fridge until ready to assemble.

Makes 45 • Ready in 20 mins
2 sheets filo pastry
15g butter, melted
75g finely grated Gruyère
1 egg white, beaten
2tsp mixed sesame seeds
150g mascarpone
2tsp creamed horseradish or horseradish sauce
Finely grated zest and juice of ½ lemon
100g fresh Fifty Fifty Crab or white crab meat
1tsp smoked paprika
Snipped chives, to serve
1 Preheat the oven to 180C/Gas 4. Lay a sheet of filo on a parchment-lined baking tray. Brush with butter, sprinkle over half the Gruyère then lay the second filo sheet on top. Brush with beaten egg white then sprinkle over the rest of the Gruyère, followed by the sesame seeds.
Using a pizza cutter or large knife, cut the sheet into 45 squares, each about 5cm. Bake
