Green goodness

he benefits of spending a few minutes immersed in the green goodness of nature is called, meaning ‘love of’ the biodiversity of the natural world. First used by German psychologist Erich Fromm to define ‘the passionate love of life and of all that is alive’, biophilia is something we can all enjoy every day for enhanced wellbeing. Studies show working out in a gym painted green or overlooking greenery helps improve physical performance – as well as mental harmony. Having a window looking out onto plants has also been shown to speed up healing time. Keeping plants beside the bed while convalescing helps confer wellness benefits, too.
