Originally hailing from Durban, the thirty-seven-year old’s memories are filled with music: “I was hooked at a very early age because the radio was always on. My mom was a big fan of Prince and Madonna and she played their music constantly. I knew all the lyrics to their songs and would spend hours a day just singing and dancing. I knew around the age of six that I wanted to be a musician but only took it seriously once I finished school.”
