Stop using these baby formulas, the FDA says, after 4 infants are hospitalized

Abbott Nutrition voluntarily recalled some powdered formulas sold under the Similac, Alimentum and EleCare brands. The FDA is investigating links to 4 bacterial infections, one of which was fatal.
Similac powdered baby formula with an expiration date on or after April 1, 2022, and a code containing K8, SH or Z2 with the first digits of 22 through 37, are part of a voluntary recall by its manufacturer, Abbott Nutrition.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is advising consumers not to use some powdered baby after identifying four bacterial infections linked to the products. One of the cases was fatal.
