SUCH IS the exposure and branding of the wines of Chablis that many people, new to wine, do not realise it is classified as a Burgundy. This is not surprising as Chablis is situated quite separately, some 134km (83 miles) from the spiritual centre of Burgundy, the French town of Beaune.
