Is the retailer allowed to wait before refunding?
Q In October 2019, I bought a £900 Pioneer LX-500 4K Blu-ray player from HiFix (www.hifix.co.uk). This developed a fault in March 2021, so HiFix returned it to a Pioneer-approved repair centre under the manufacturer’s two-year warranty. However, because the repair centre couldn’t find the parts to fix it, HiFix agreed to give me my money back, but says it has to be reimbursed by Pioneer before issuing the refund. Is this right?
