    To empty, or not?

    I was interested to read Duncan Kent’s advice on emptying diesel fuel tanks during layups ( Oct 21, ). I was always advised to keep my fuel tanks full during layup to reduce the risk of condensation forming in the tanks, and so adding water to the fuel. This, together with the use of an appropriate ‘fuel clear’ additive, and annual replacement of fuel
