Pots of scent
WHILE reading Ruth’s article on planting shrubs in pots (AG, 4 December), I was reminded about some seedlings of sweet box (Sarcococca confusa) that I dug up earlier this year. There must have been hundreds of plants that had germinated under the established parent that has been growing in my back garden for about eight years. The seedlings grew strongly and I gave a few to neighbours.
