Astrology for The New Age
Something tells me that if I say the word Aquarius many of my readers will conjure up images of harmony and understanding, perhaps accompanied by sympathy and trust abounding. They might also envision a world where falsehoods and derisions are replaced by mystic, crystal revelations, and so on. And I, your always-friendly columnist, have no intention of raining on my readers’ parades – unless, of course, they happen to live in the drought-ridden lands west of the 101st meridian, where, as I write this in late July of 2021, people would consider rain, whether on a parade or not, as one of the greatest gifts nature might bestow, particularly if it lasted long enough to quench a forest-fire or two, or perhaps a score of them.1
So, now, two points: First, why on earth is your columnist talking about Aquarius this month? Isn’t the Sun in Pisces and Aries? Why worry about the past? Second, what has all that stuff about rain and forest fires to do with Aquarius, pray tell? As to the first question, let me note a matter to which I will return. This month has lots of activity in Aquarius: Mercury starts the – and that the Age of Aquarius lies in our . In fact, we find ourselves, or so some say, at the cusp of that Age.
