The Alan Mills LAMBRETTA COLLECTION

This exercise was initially planned for the February, but Mother Nature had other plans, battering the country with Storm Ciara which resulted in the River Roch not being able to cope with the amount of water that ran into it from the Pennine hills, causing it to burst its banks and causing extensive flooding to the area. By the time the flood waters had subsided and another meticulously planned expedition had been arranged, we were caught up in the grip of the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, with all the fear and restrictions that it created.

It was quite a while later, on one of the hottest days in the summer of 2021, that we eventually ventured out, crossing the border without any resistance and finally rendezvousing with Alan as planned to spend some time enviously viewing and drooling over his wonderful stable of beautiful Lambretta scooters.
