Founder of the LRSB group and content director of Mikateko Media, Ingrid Jones, explains how the group’s collaboration with Tru-Cape came about: “When Tru-Cape offered to donate fruit to a charity nominated by the group in exchange for asking our most active members to promote Tru-Cape and Flash Gala apples, I was keen to see where this partnership could lead,” she says.

Members proposed two organisations as recipients: the Bonteheuwel Development Forum and Philisa Abafazi Bethu. The many services they provide include feeding schemes and safe houses for women and children.
