Boudicca

Boudicca was born around 30AD. She was a Celtic queen who made her name in history for showing great courage and determination. Boudicca was married to King Prasutagus. He was ruler of the Iceni tribe who lived in eastern England.

In 43AD the Romans invaded and conquered southern England. It was agreed that Boudicca and her husband could continue to rule their region – although ultimately the power lay with Rome. When King Prasutagus died, Boudicca should have inherited her husband’s property and
