HOW TO MAKE… FIREWORKS AND FUNFETTI NEW YEAR’S EVE CAKE

What better way to welcome in the New Year than with cake! This surprise inside, colourful outside, double-height cake is a sure winner at any gathering to celebrate the start of 2022.

To make the most out of my piped fireworks design, I’ve made two 15cm (6in) round cakes to get a deeper height, but this would absolutely work as a single layer, with either less fireworks around the side or concentrating the design solely on the top of the cake instead.
