By Neetha Syam from Buttercream Petals Art School (buttercreampetals.com)
YOU WILL NEED
TO DECORATE
• cupcakes, baked in cupcake cases
• vanilla buttercream
• chocolate buttercream
• a few gel colours of your choice (I used Wilton)
EQUIPMENT
• piping bags
• scissors
• flower nail
• Wilton 104 nozzle
• Wilton 352 nozzle
• Wilton 47 nozzle
1 Divide and colour the buttercream using gel colours of your choice.
2 Using one colour of buttercream in a piping bag fitted with a Wilton 104 nozzle, pipe a cone in the middle of the flower nail. Pipe three curved upright petals around the cone, forming a small hole in the middle. This is the bud of the rose. Pipe more curved petals around the bud to form a small rose. You can pipe more layers of petals to make bigger roses, if you wish.
