Road of Dreams

Day rides don't always go as planned. In fact, the possibilities for things going awry are legion. You can get lost, fall off or hit bad weather. And sometimes, the road you've chosen isn't quite as you remember it.

Back when MSL was based in Bodmin, I was Editor, and one of the best bits of the job was collecting road test bikes, as it usually meant an unfettered day on the road – no smartphones then, so you were uncontactable.

I especially liked the run back from Triumph (Hinckley) or Ducati (Daventry) which involved heading back southwest
