I was interested in the article in the December 2020 edition of Old Glory in respect of John Young and his engines.

My father got to know Mr Young in the 1950s and as a boy at the time I remember going to his yard many times. Even then I thought it incongruous that such a business should exist in an ordinary residential suburban road with no other businesses
