DIFFICULTY RATING

You will need:

Stiff paper to make templates, ruler, pencil and craft knife

Paper clay as used to make the polar bear in issue 56

Small stamp for decorative edging

Small letters for impressing words (look in cut-price stores – toys/crafts section)

Rolling pin, 5mm thick roller guides, plastic sheet

Before you begin:

The choice of including the text in this sculpture is purely optional. If you choose not to include it, you can make the base much lower to sit the bear on but the method of construction will remain the same.
