Who’s Who on the club and show scene

Q Which clubs have you been most involved with? Any official roles?

Nigel Hewston: My first role was as show secretary for Worcester CBS back in the 1970s. More recently I have been most involved with the Avicultural Society (AS), where I have been a council member for more than 30 years and chairman for the past 10.

I have also been a committee member of the International Turaco Society (ITS) since its foundation in 1993, serving first as census coordinator and later as secretary. Some years ago, I served as vice-chair, then acting chair of the Foreign Bird Federation, and as a member
