KWAZULU-NATAL
The KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Amafa and Research Institute is the province’s official heritage authority and is funded by the KZN provincial government. The institute manages several heritage projects, including the battlefields at Isandlwana and Rorke’s Drift, the Border Cave terrain (where evidence of prehistoric humans have been found) and the KwaZulu Cultural History Museum.
There are more than 300 heritage sites in KZN. Here are a few examples:
