2018 ADRIA TWIN 640 SPX

I always dread those immortal words spoken by my husband, “I have seen a car/bike/van!” It usually means that he wants to change something. This time it was swapping our motorhome, Boris, an Adria Sport coachbuilt, for a campervan.

I was a little surprised, as my husband, Marc, had always said he wanted an A-class, in other words, a bigger motorhome, so to hear him say he wanted to downsize was a shock.

So off to the NEC we went to look at various options, including the one he had seen in the latest MMM.

To cut a long story short, the one he had originally earmarked was a little dark inside and so I suggested an Adria Twin.

It just so happened that the dealer we normally use had a new Adria Twin 640 SPX back at base looking for a new home. And, as it was the end of the year, it was reduced to sell ready for next year’s stock.

The deal was struck and a few weeks later we set off to pick up our new, much-downsized ‘van, which we call Florence. She is fitted with all the accessories that we wanted, including solar panels, awning, and a pull-out bike rack.
