A little girl is eating at a table in what seems to be a neat and ordinary kitchen. Everything around her, however, is organised madness. A camera operator is squatting in front of her amid a barrage of lights and microphones. A makeup artist rushes in to retouch a flaw, and an art director repositions a spoon. Producers, props and costume managers and several technicians cluster around. Wires snake across the floor and the room smells of fresh paint.
This average family home has become a film set for a cereal advertisement, crammed with 50 people, including a full catering service in the garden, portable toilets in the driveway and three blocks of cars and trucks clogging up the suburb.
