16th September marks National Guacamole Day, and if you’re a fan of the green stuff, it’s the perfect day to celebrate. A dip that has become popular across the world, guacamole has its origins in Mexican cuisine, with the first noted description dating back to 1697, where an English traveller wrote about seeing it made by grinding together avocados, sugar and lime juice.

Traditionally made using a – a Mexican version for our take on the much-loved dip, served with spiced tortilla chips.
