BICEPS TENDONITIS -
WHAT IS BICEPS TENDONITIS?
Biceps tendonitis is a repetitive strain injury involving either the shoulder or elbow and is a common condition in paddlers. As the name implies, tendons of the biceps muscle become inflamed and swollen, leading to painful movement in the normal range of motion of the shoulder or elbow. Inflammation, pain, and swelling are characteristic symptoms and can be signs of micro-tears in the affected tendons. Generally, paddlers are more afflicted by tendonitis of the proximal (near) biceps tendons, which attach the biceps muscle to the shoulder. Distal
