Little things that go a long way

NOW, this may not sound like much, but as a fellow breeder have you ever thought about the dish that you use to serve your softfood up in? What difference can the type of dish make? Well, for the past five years or so, I have been serving my softfood up in a large plastic tray-type dish. This measures 6½in by 4½in (16.5cm x 11.5cm), with sides that are half an inch high (1.2cm), as opposed to the normal dishes that I use for seed in the cages.

The big difference is that the feeding area of this type of dish is far larger than most seed dishes that breeders might use in cages for breeding budgerigars, canaries
