The Slow Prophet

CONCOCTED THE SLOW PROPHET when I was hosting a cocktail book club at SoBou in the French Quarter. Each month, we would read a book that was based in New Orleans, and I would create a cocktail inspired by the book. This one was inspired by Michael Allen Zell’s noir. It has a bunch of fun, really colorful characters, and the Slow Prophet is one of them. Sometimes the authors would attend. Michael Allen Zell came to that book club, and we had a blast just talking about the book and drinking cocktails all night.
