“EFFORTS TO BRING THE GUPTAS BACK HAVE INTENSIFIED.”

Hermione Cronjé, head said that Interpol has issued red notices for two Gupta brothers wanted in connection with alleged corruption. Atul and Rajesh Gupta, their wives, and four other people were issued with notices. According to Interpol, a red notice is an alert to all Interpol member states that an individual is a wanted fugitive. Although a red notice does not equate to an international arrest warrant, it can be used to support extradition requests. The United Arab Emirates ratified an extradition treaty with South Africa this year.
