1 THE AREA of a circle is equal to π r², so you would think the area of a larger circle would be bigger. But believe it or not, the area of the big circle is exactly the same as the smaller one… π r²!

are shapes with different numbers of sides. A triangle has three sides, a square has four, a pentagon has five and an icosagon has twenty. And you might suppose that a circle has just one side… . Because a circle, it’s just that the sides are too small to see, even with a microscope.
