Benefits This session is ideal race-specific practice in the week or two before your event. It takes 30-40mins, so it’s good for all abilities and can be tagged on to a longer swim if you still have several days before your race.

Warm-up 5-10mins of easy to moderate swimming until you feel both warm and comfortable.

20 strokes at your distance-appropriate race pace followed by 30
