TRAVEL NOTES

1 LIVING THE FRENCH DREAM

The Manoir La Croix de La Jugie in Limousin, South West France, is a ‘rustic slice of calm,’ a true sanctuary within rolling hills, farms and forests. The vast house sits in six acres of land and sleeps up to 22 people. As well as eight bedrooms, it has a grand salon, dining room, library, snug and games room, while outside there is a covered dining area, pool and orchard. With local producers and farms close by there’s an abundance of food and drink; from cheeses, pâtés and organic vegetables, to wines, apples and beer made with local chestnuts. An idyllic place for a group getaway. lajugie.co.uk
