GUZZI CENTRE STAND PROBLEM SOLVED

I too own a small block 2009 Moto Guzzi V7 Classic; a cracking bike and a pleasurable alternative ride to my BMW GS 1200 WC. My Guzzi came with only a side stand so I bought and fitted a mainstand (watch out fitting those springs). To my complete surprise I found it almost impossible to use, as Mr Hershon did. I also noticed at the time that the BMW was getting difficult to put on its main stand too. I put this down to my 73-year-old legs showing the effects of 57 years of biking.

However, the problem is easily solved. I now carry a piece of wood, 140mm by 60mm by 20mm with a 45-degree chamfer at one end. Slide this under the back
