TOO MANY CRASHES

I cannot believe I have just read a letter in your magazine (MSL 699) from a person who states that he has crashed ‘so many times’, and then goes on to say that ‘high siding a motorcyle is as much a part of the life of a motorcyclist, as so smoothly taking that challenging B road’.

How many crashes does one have to have before a strong message gets through that possibly one is not destined to ride a motorcycle safely. I am 82 years of age, have been riding since 1957 and have only dropped my bike on one occasion, and that was on a diesel slick with no harm to man nor the beast I was riding (a Royal Enfield 250cc Clipper). I am sorry to say that I would be ashamed
