A rizona State University senior Tasmia Alam would love to merge two of her passions—education and psychology—into a dream career someday. Whether that might be starting her own practice or creating educational coursework on mental health for teachers, the emotional well-being of students would likely be her focus.

“I believe it’s important to implement social and emotional learning into our curriculum because it helps prepare our students with the right way to cope with emotions and respond well to unfortunate events,” Tasmia says.
